Hojicha

Hojicha is a Japanese green tea that is roasted (Hoji = roasted, cha = tea). This tea originated in 1920 in Kyoto, but is now drunk all over Japan for its sweet scent and toasted aroma. As mentioned, Hojicha is green tea that is roasted, the basis in the Hojicha that we selected is a Bancha tea. Bancha is a tea that is harvested late in the season and therefore already contains less caffeine. Roasting the tea further reduces this level and makes it an excellent tea to drink throughout the day (and also in the evening), not only for adults but also for children.
